Tips

1. A mild hand soap or facial cleanser can be used instead of baby shampoo, although some hand soaps may irritate sensitive skin.

2.  Wash the brushes in warm, not hot water. Hot water can loosen/dissolve the glue holding the bristles together, making them fall out.

3.  Try to do this weekly, this not only keeps your brushes clean, but also will stop you re-applying bacteria to your face from the days before, but try not to do this every day as it can damage your brushes.

4.   To keep your brushes evenly dry turn them over once every few hours.When air drying the brushes, let them lay at a slight downward angle so that water will not pool where the bristles are gathered.

5.    When drying your makeup brushed, have them upside down. This will ensure that the water doesn't go near the glue holding the bristles together.Be sure to dry thoroughly before use.

6. Using conditioner on brushes with real hair will make them soft and keep the quality of the hair, but make sure to rinse thoroughly to avoid sticky brushes.

7.  Wash your brushes, at most, weekly or biweekly.Try adding a bit of olive oil so your brush bristles do not dry out, but be careful and only add the smallest drop so your brushes don't stay oily.
